Hello all,
Here again with another recap of my adventures. I promise this one won’t be as lengthy as the last three, but there will be just as much cursing.
Last month I returned back to Aruba. I had visited back in 2021 with my mom, but this time there were nine of us together. Shorter trip, but more people.

Today was a long travel day.
I really contemplated spending half of this recap telling you to never ever take Arajet Airlines for any trip you might be planning. If ‘Arajet Airlines Review‘ brought you to this page – make sure you read this part where I tell you the review of Arajet is DO NOT FUCKING USE THIS AIRLINE.
Have to make sure that search engine optimization brings people directly to here, where I tell them that Arajet isn’t worth the cheap flight deal you get.
Now like I said, I will not be spend this recap talking about that. I’ve insulted them as much as I could online.
I will leave two things here though.
- the lengthy TikTok I made about everything that went wrong with our Arajet Airlines experience can be found if you click here
- a screenshot of everything that went wrong with Arajet Airlines that I kept adding to in my notes app:

Moving on to the actual trip to Aruba now.
Oh wait, yeah, Saturday was a complete fucking wash because we didn’t even get to our AirBnB until Sunday at midnight. Let’s skip there.
Sunday, February 18th
Hello again, welcome to Sunday.
At 1230am we arrived at our lovely AirBnB in Aruba, but I will get into that some more in the later part of this day.
We basically got to Aruba angry and hungry, which is a terrible combination to begin any trip.
Luckily, my friend Dwayne waited for us at the airport and dropped us off in one piece at the AirBnB we had booked. Alas, we were starving and by the time we realized we were starving (as the anger wore off) we needed to find food at 2am for six hungry adults and three hungry kids. According to Google Maps there was only one place nearby open and it was named Julio’s Corner. Four of us walked down a dirt path in the middle of the night to retrieve sustenance. Luckily, Aruba is literally one of the safest places on the planet and this walk was nothing.
We got to Julio’s Corner, which is a food truck. Ordered three pizzas and some wings and drinks. Very good. It did the job and we were all able to sleep after a good meal and forget about Saturday and part of Sunday morning.

Finally, we made it to the daytime part of the morning.
Now I can talk to you about our amazing AirBnB – with equally amazing hosts who waited for us to arrive and had beers in the fridge ready. So nice.
For the nine of us, we booked an AirBnB that had four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a private pool, an awesome outdoor kitchen and it was close to a couple of supermarkets and the nicest beach on the island, Eagle Beach. (According to me, I love that beach)

This place was huge. It also had a fifth bedroom technically, but that was like a play area for the kids that could be made into a bedroom if needed. If there wasn’t such amazing beaches and scenery in Aruba to get to, we easily could have spent the entire vacation just hanging out at this AirBnB. We had all the space in the world, the pool was clean and a great temperature in the hot sun. Truly, a 10/10 experience and location. If any of you have a big group going to Aruba, I could not recommend this place more. If you want to book it, the link to it is here.
I wish I had more to tell you about today but we ended up spending the entire day just hanging out here. At one point a couple of us walked over to the supermarket to get some necessities for cooking and then we had a BBQ. Make sure you get some snacks or flavours of snacks you can’t get back in Canada when you go grocery shopping in Aruba!

Monday, February 19th
Today we were going to go have some fun, outside of the AirBnB.
I had booked us a catamaran day, leaving from the Palm Beach area. This was only about a 10-minute drive from where we were staying.
The catamaran ride was about three hours and it included an open bar, stops for snorkeling and a couple of chicken wraps. Nothing too crazy, but it was the perfect day to spend with my family – on Family Day!
If you want to book this excursion for when you visit Aruba, click here.

After the catamaran ride we decided to rent some chairs and stay hanging out at Palm Beach for a little longer, until sunset.
The sunsets in Aruba are unreal. They are so damn beautiful and make sure you try to see them from Palm Beach and Eagle Beach. Breathtaking experience this evening at Palm Beach.
When we got back to the AirBnB, we did walk and try to get some KFC, but we failed miserably. They were closed, even though Google said they would be open. Just settled for some Chinese food, always a safe bet.

Tuesday, February 20th
Guess what we did again today? Yep, just hang out at the pool in our AirBnB. Speaking for myself, I was pretty burnt from our day outside yesterday, so I was happy to hide in the shade.
Some of us walked over to Eagle Beach to witness the beautiful sunset there as well. I could have sat there forever. That is how beautiful it is.

This may be the most concise recap of a trip I have ever written, but…. we really just got up to nothing much. You have to understand that with the aforementioned issues with stupid Arajet Airlines, it really did put a damper on a lot of things. We tried to make the best of the trip, and of course we still had fun. Aruba is beautiful and the locals are really nice – you will always have a great time here.
I hope to come back here for a third time one day. My family really really really liked the AirBnB and the island, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we returned one day right back to the same spot.
Happy travels! (still don’t ever book with Arajet, thanks)

I booked in this company for décembre.I started to regret. I will take lugage assurance in THE case my lugage is lost
Hope your experience is better than ours
I Hope. I wanted to buy airTag but it won’t help if my lignage is lost or stolen
