4 Days in Curacao Budget Breakdown

Another long weekend, another trip.

I’ve been to Aruba and Bonaire….. now finishing the alphabet with this one.

Yes, I know my A-B-C’s.

Below is a photo of the budget breakdown I keep in my Excel spreadsheet:

First we booked the flight last year on May 22nd, 2025 with Avianca . This was probably my tenth trip with Avianca. I really enjoy flying with them.

I want to also say, it felt like March was THE LONGEST MONTH EVER, as I waited between Family Day and the Easter Long Weekend to get away again. I know, boohoo, first world problems.

The cost of the flight was $596.00 CAD per person.

Roundtrip, carry-on included, with a quick layover both ways in Bogota. Yes, back in Bogota during a layover again.

There were three of us going on this trip, so we definitely needed a place with two bedrooms.

We initially had another AirBnB booked from April 2nd to April 5th, but when I realized we land at 9am on the 2nd, I suggested we find a cheaper place so that the ‘stay’ can start on the 1st. I hate wandering around until check-ins or check-outs.

As I have said previously, if the price is right – book the extra night.

You will not regret it. Also, this place has a pool. Hell yeah.

Here is the link to the AirBnB, will report on our experience there in the recap.

Cost for four nights was $591.00, so $197.00 CAD per person. I think this is an amaaaazing price, especially for a long weekend.

Of course, we had some shenanigans booked for this trip.

The morning we land, we had a booking at a beach club – Lemon Beach Club. I’m so serious, for two hours after we arrive.

We chose the ‘Cabana’ option which costs $150.00 USD total for three people and it includes a beachside cabana, direct access to the infinity pool, towels, bottle of water and a fruit platter. Clearly, more food and liquor is required.

$150.00 USD = $208.00 CAD / 3 = $69.33 CAD per person, and will let you know how those extras go.

Always a boat booking when it comes to visiting the Caribbean. We chose the ‘Klein Curacao Adventure Day Trip‘ and the cost was $170.00 CAD per person.

This catamaran day trip is a full nine hours and we are visiting the neighboring island of Klein. Breakfast, alcoholic beverages, beach chairs and a lunch are included in the cost. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Finally, we also booked ourselves a Sunset Cruise Party with All Boat Charters.

I happened to see this on TikTok actually from some other people who had gone to Curacao. We got the early-bird tickets for $95.00 USD, which was $135.00 CAD per person.

This cruise party is on Thursdays (Latin beats, Merengue, Bachata) and on Fridays/Saturdays (Afrobeats, R&B, Hip Hop). It starts as a chill sunset cruise, with small bites included, as well as a premium open bar. Then later in the night there’s a DJ and dancing along with some live music. Super excited to experience this.

For spending money I budgeted $350.00 USD, so about $500.00 CAD. I have no clue if this is enough or not, but I have been repeatedly advised that the cost of taxis in Curacao is very high, I’d rather be prepared.

The total budget for this trip is $1667.33 CAD.

I’m not entirely sure if this is high or low, might be high just for a long weekend? Whatever, I’m here for a good time not a long time.

See you in the recap!
